Network Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network & Security Engineer with strong expertise in AWS cloud operations, VPN implementation, and cloud networking. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting secure network connectivity in AWS environments while ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in production support, troubleshooting complex network issues, and working within ITIL-driven processes in a 247 environment.

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot VPN connectivity in AWS environments
• Configure and manage IPSec VPN tunnels including Phase 1 and Phase 2
• Set up and support BGP peering and route propagation
• Diagnose route table inconsistencies and traffic asymmetry issues
• Work on AWS networking fundamentals including VPCs, subnets, routing, and switching concepts
• Configure and manage AWS security groups, NACLs, and prefix lists
• Monitor cloud infrastructure, tune alerts, and manage capacity and availability
• Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues in collaboration with cloud, ISP, and security teams
• Participate in incidents, problem, and change management as per ITIL processes
• Create, review, and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and operational documentation
• Automate operational tasks using Shell, PowerShell, or Python scripting
• Support 247 production environments with rotational on-call or weekend support

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 511 years of experience in system administration across Linux and/or Windows environments
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud operations and networking
• Proven experience in VPN implementation and troubleshooting in AWS
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, routing, switching, and BGP
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, alert tuning, and availability management
• Strong knowledge of AWS security concepts and best practices
• Experience working with ITSM tools and ITIL-based processes
• Hands-on exposure to automation and scripting to improve operational efficiency
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, 247 production support environments
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams
