Network Engineer

Location: Bangalore, Chennai, Pune & Noida

Position Overview (Job Summary):

The SDWAN Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting global enterprise network solutions with a strong focus on SDWAN technologies such as Versa, SilverPeak, Meraki, Fortinet, and Viptela. The role involves advanced network architecture, cloud networking integration, performance analysis, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and lastlevel technical support. The engineer collaborates with internal/external teams, leads customer-facing engagements, and provides innovative solutions across WAN, LAN, WLAN, security, SDN/NFV, and virtualization technologies.

Primary Skills:

• SDWAN handson experience (Versa / SilverPeak / Meraki / Fortinet / Viptela)
• Network architecture & design (WAN, LAN, WLAN)
• Cloud networking & data center network infrastructure
• WAN transformation & lifecycle development
• Performance analysis & capacity planning
• SDN/NFV & virtualization technologies
• Last-level incident support (L3/NOC escalation)
• Engineering design documentation & network diagrams

Secondary Skills:

• Strong communication & stakeholder engagement
• Team leadership (adhoc supervision, mentoring)
• Understanding of TOGAF, ITIL, security frameworks (CISSP, CCAroptional)
• Knowledge of virtualization/cloud platforms (AWS, VMware, MS Azure)
• Scripting/application development (advantage)
• Presentation & demo delivery to clients
• Process documentation & resource coordination

Experience:

• Strong experience designing and implementing complex network/SDWAN environments
• Experience in cloud networking, data center technologies
• Handson expertise with WAN/LAN/WLAN, security, SDN/NFV
• Experience supporting enterprise customers globally
• Familiarity with architectures such as Cisco, Arista, Data Center/Cloud ecosystems

Role and Responsibilities

A. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support SDWAN-based customer solutions
• Provide optimal, innovative solutions for global customers
• Engage proactively with clients across all levels
• Lead network architecture efforts across WAN, LAN, WLAN, Cloud, Analytics, SDN, NFV
• Analyze and communicate network capacity, performance, and recommend improvements
• Support and guide resource teams during specific projects
• Maintain network documentation: design documents, RoC, diagrams
• Provide last-level technical support and incident troubleshooting for SDWAN
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and solution workshops
• Own design decisions and resolve critical issues
• Ensure protection of customer proprietary network information

B. Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely project completion
• Mentor peers and contribute to process improvements
• Assist in resource planning & operational workflow
• Participate in cloud adoption, virtualization initiatives
• Maintain high-quality communication with clients and third-party vendors
• Support architecture governance and documentation standards
