Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid Network Engineer role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The Network Engineer will audit, design, implement, and support secure network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. The Network Engineers will collaborate and support the architectural consulting function in architecting client solutions (mostly, but not restricted to just Cisco Solutions with Data Center, Campus, SD-WAN, SDA, SASE, SDN, FSO)
Daily responsibilities include assessment, design, and deployment of Secure network solutions - spanning from DC, campus, SDWAN, security solutions from Cisco, and beyond.
The role may also involve troubleshooting network incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network changes, support automation initiatives, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards. The position also includes documenting network designs, configurations, and procedures, and contributing to the continuous improvement of network operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design, including experience with routing, switching, and scalable architectures.
- Hands-on experience in Network Administration and day-to-day network operations, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex network issues, including performance, connectivity, and interoperability problems.
- Knowledge of Network Security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and security best practices and/or Knowledge of Cisco Data Center and campus solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (e.g., VPC/VNet, load balancers, security groups) and automation or scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent industry credentials are preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible to work with in US and Europe time zones.
