Role Objective

The .NET Core Developer will work on enterprise banking applications and is expected to handle endtoend development responsibilities, including backend coding, mandatory frontend exposure, database handling, API integration, and deployment support. This is a handson role where developers are expected to support DEV, UAT, and Production deployments in a restricted banking environment.

Mandatory Technical Skills (Profile Must Match)

1. Backend & Core Development (MustHave)

.NET Core Primary skill

C# / Core .NET

o Strong handson coding experience

o Syntaxlevel and implementationlevel knowledge

ASP.NET Core

Web API

o API implementation

o API integration and consumption

Profiles without handson .NET Core coding should not be shortlisted.

2. FrontEnd Skills (Mandatory Key Rejection Area)

Lack of frontend exposure is a major rejection reason as discussed in the MoM.

Candidate must have working knowledge of:

HTML

CSS

JavaScript

jQuery

Candidates who have worked only on Web APIs and no UI layer should not be shortlisted.

3. MVC & UI Layer Awareness

ASP.NET MVC

Understanding of Razor / .cshtml views

Ability to work with HTMLbased views in ASP.NET Core

MVC is secondary, but mandatory awareness is required.

4. Database Skills (Mandatory)

SQL Server

Strong understanding of:

o Table joins

o Stored procedures

o Backend data handling scenarios

Candidates weak in SQL are getting rejected at L2.

5. Architecture & Core Concepts

SOLID principles

HTTP methods

Design patterns

Multithreading concepts

o async / await

o Basic concurrency understanding

6. Deployment & Environment Awareness (Mandatory)

Developers must not say deployment is handled by someone else.

Required awareness of:

IIS (Internet Information Services)

o Website deployment

o Virtual directories

Manual deployment to DEV servers

Supporting UAT deployments

Assisting support teams during deployment issues

Candidates unaware of IIS / deployment flow should not be shortlisted.

7. Working Environment (Important for Screening)

Bankingrestricted environment

No AI coding tools

No open internet access

No local DB connectivity

Applications must be deployed to DEV servers for real testing

Evaluation Focus (What Panel Will Check)

Handson coding depth (not theoretical answers)

Balanced knowledge across:

o .NET Core

o Frontend basics

o SQL

o APIs

o Deployment awareness

Ability to support realworld banking applications
