Job Title: MS SQL / SQL Database Administrator (Azure IaaS)

Location: HCLTech Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (on-site)

Experience: 8 years or above

Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced Database Administrator specializing in MS SQL and SQL environments hosted on Azure IaaS. The role focuses on advanced database operational support, ensuring performance, availability, and recoverability of critical systems through expert intervention and governance-aligned practices. This is strictly a DBA role and does not involve development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to)

• Resolve complex SQL Server and SQL database issues
• Perform advanced performance tuning and optimization
• Manage high-risk database changes in controlled environments
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem management activities

Skill Requirements

• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server and SQL database administration
• Experience managing databases on Azure IaaS (Azure Virtual Machines)
• Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working in regulated environments
• Exposure to healthcare or clinical systems is preferred

Must Have Skills

• MS SQL Server / SQL Database Administration
• Azure IaaS (SQL on Azure Virtual Machines)
• Performance tuning and query optimization
• Backup, restore, and recovery management
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) concepts
