Merchandise Developer

We're looking for a hands-on Merchandise Developer to work directly with the founder on expanding our product range, managing our vendor and materials ecosystem, and keeping production running smoothly. This is a generalist product role you'll be across sourcing, development, costing, sampling, and coordination with our reseller partners.

Product Development

Assist in developing new products from concept and material selection through to final sample sign-off

Maintain product BOMs, costing sheets, and specification documents

Coordinate sampling rounds with in-house production and external vendors

Research materials, trims, and finishes that fit our aesthetic and quality standards

Sourcing & Vendor Management

Build and manage relationships with fabric, material, and packaging suppliers

Get quotes, negotiate pricing, and track lead times across vendors

Maintain a vendor database with quality ratings and order history

Identify new sources for materials as the range expands

Production Coordination

Track production batches from materials receipt through to finished goods

Flag delays or quality issues early and coordinate resolutions

Maintain production trackers and update timelines proactively

Work closely with in-house artisans and the laser cutting and embroidery teams

Reseller & Partner Coordination

Manage order fulfilment and communication with our reseller partners

Prepare product catalogues, line sheets, and wholesale documentation

Track reseller inventory levels and proactively plan replenishments

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Degree in Fashion/Textile/Product Merchandising, Craft Design, or a related field NIFT, NID, Pearl, Symbiosis, or similar

Genuine interest in handcrafted, physical product you notice materials, construction, and detail

Comfortable with numbers costing, margins, and spreadsheets don't intimidate you

Organised and proactive you follow up without being asked

Good written communication in English; Hindi a plus for vendor conversations

Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; Illustrator or basic design tools a bonus
