Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Engineer with experience in USA-based MEP projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in HVAC design, submittal reviews, and BIM/CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Revit. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of working independently while ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings from sketches and design inputs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform HVAC design calculations using tools such as Trace/HAP.
• Review submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with internal teams and project stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Ensure efficient utilization of time and resources to meet project deadlines.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Mechanical Engineering (HVAC) discipline lead.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with supervisors, colleagues, and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
• Proven experience working on USA-based HVAC projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and calculations.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC load calculation software such as Trace or HAP.
• Good understanding of submittal reviews and engineering procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

• Experience working with US-based clients or consultants.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
• Basic Understanding of AutoCAD.
