Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team working on advanced engineering technologies across composites, technical ceramics, additive manufacturing, high-pressure systems, and custom industrial machinery.

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on design and problem-solving capabilities to work on the development of next-generation products, machines, and manufacturing systems. The candidate should be comfortable working on both conceptual and production-level designs for complex mechanical systems.

• Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and custom machinery components.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Work on innovative projects involving:
• Advanced composites
• Technical ceramics
• High-pressure vessels and hydraulic systems
• Industrial automation and custom manufacturing equipment
• Additive manufacturing and tooling systems
• Perform mechanical calculations, tolerance analysis, and design optimization.
• Coordinate with fabrication, machining, assembly, and production teams.
• Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and product improvement activities.
• Participate in R&D activities and contribute innovative engineering solutions.

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Strong proficiency in CAD software such as:

• SolidWorks
• Fusion 360
• Inventor
• OnShape

Good understanding of:

• Manufacturing processes
• Sheet metal and machined part design
• Welding and fabrication
• Mechanical assemblies and mechanisms
• Material selection and engineering fundamentals

Ability to work independently on fast-paced development projects.

Strong analytical and practical engineering mindset.

• Experience with industrial machinery, automation systems, composites, or high-pressure systems.
• Familiarity with FEA/simulation tools.
• Hands-on workshop or machine-building experience.
• Exposure to robotics, CNC systems, or additive manufacturing technologies is a plus.
