Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in drafting, sheet metal design, and container development.

This role involves working as part of a client-deployed team, contributing to live engineering projects, including battery pack container-level design and mechanical enclosures.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using Solid Edge
• Design and develop sheet metal components and mechanical enclosures
• Work on container design (standard + mechanical structures)
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up in engineering drawings
• Develop manufacturing-ready drawings with proper standards
• Support battery pack container-level design activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, validation, manufacturing)
• Ensure adherence to client quality standards and timelines

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Solid Edge (mandatory)
• Strong experience in sheet metal and mechanical design
• Hands-on knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis
• Experience in drafting and engineering drawing standards
• Understanding of mechanical assemblies and enclosure design
• Good communication skills for client interaction

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to battery pack / EV design
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles
• Experience working in client-facing or deployment roles
