Job Title: Mechanical / Product Design Engineer (Contract Prototype Development)

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical / Product Design Engineer to lead the development of a new automated dispenser product from concept to working prototype. This project is being developed in collaboration with a US-based company (Boston), and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with stakeholders and engineering teams based in the United States.

This is a full-time, short-term contract role (23 months) with a strong possibility of conversion into a full-time position based on performance and project requirements.

Duties:

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Conceptualize and build mechanisms for controlled single-dose dispensing
• Develop and iterate physical prototypes using 3D printing
• Work on enclosure design, internal mechanisms, and structural components
• Apply practical engineering judgment on tolerances, fitment, and functionality
• Support development of mold-ready designs (basic injection molding understanding required)
• Collaborate on integrating mechanical systems with basic electronics (motors/sensors)

Required Skills & Experience:

• 45+ years of experience in product design / mechanical development
• Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Drawings)
• Hands-on experience in prototype development and iteration
• Understanding of mold design / injection molding fundamentals
• Familiarity with 3D printing and design for additive manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving ability and engineering intuition

Additional Requirements:

• Based in Jaipur or willing to work on-site
• Must have access to a working system with SolidWorks installed (preferred)
• Able to join immediately

Role Type Clarification:

Note: Candidates with hands-on mechanism or product build experience will be preferred over purely CAD/drafting profiles.
