Manager – Voyage Performance

In this role, you will be a key contributor to enhancing the performance of our fleet of more than 300 vessels. With strong expertise and a confident, diplomatic presence, you will translate operational insights into tangible improvements and provide our crews with the transparency they need to identify potential and drive continuous optimization. Your work will ensure decisions are well-informed, data driven, and aligned with our ambition to continuously strengthen operational excellence.

Tasks and Responsibilities

o As part of the Voyage Performance team, you are responsible for monitoring key performance

indicators such as ETA adherence, constant power operations, trim optimization, auxiliary engine

and shaft generator utilization, and precise timing of fuel changeovers.

o You actively engage with the crews on deviations from agreed thresholds and provide guidance

on optimal voyage execution.

o You analyze operational data, constructively challenge the assumptions and reasoning provided

by the crew, facilitating best-practice exchange to support optimal decision-making.

o You assess voyage execution and analyze vessel performance metrics to track actual bunker

consumption savings. Your insights help identify further efficiency potential and contribute directly

to cost savings and sustainability goals.

o Working across departments, you take on a coordinating role, aligning perspectives, identifying

pragmatic solutions, and fostering a shared operational understanding.

o You benchmark bunker consumption against historical data and ensure lessons learned are

systematically captured and reused.

o After voyage completion, you provide clear and actionable feedback reports to the crew,

supporting transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

o Academic background in maritime studies or related field, complemented by maritime industry

experience

o Seafaring experience in a senior role (nautical or technical)

o Experience in the field of vessel performance and operational efficiency is of advantage

o Comprehensive understanding of onboard operational procedures, risks, and consequences

o Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a confident and diplomatic approach

o Structured, execution focused working style, able to prioritize and drive outcomes

o Ability to simplify complex challenges into clear, concise language

o Proven track record as a team player, collaborating effectively with diverse teams

o Passion for sustainability and a commitment to continuous improvement

o Excellent communication skills in English.
