Job Title: Architect Senior Specialist

Location: Chennai

Work Type: Hybrid (4 Days work From Office)

Position Description:

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end architecture for migrating Mainframe (DB2 z/OS, COBOL, JCL) systems to GCP
• Design scalable, cloud-native solutions using GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL / AlloyDB
• Drive Strangler Fig migration strategyavoiding high-risk big-bang transitions
• Oversee database modernization (DB2 PostgreSQL), including CDC pipelines and data transformation
• Transform legacy batch workloads into modern frameworks like Spring Batch, Airflow, Dataflow
• Guide teams in refactoring legacy logic into Spring Boot microservices
• Define HA/DR strategies, manage risks, and ensure seamless dual-run execution
• Act as a bridge between legacy and modern engineering teams
• Champion FinOps practices for cost-optimized cloud operations

What Were Looking For

• 10+ years in enterprise architecture/software engineering
• Strong experience in Mainframe modernization & DB migration (DB2/Oracle PostgreSQL)
• Deep expertise in:
• Mainframe ecosystem (DB2, COBOL, JCL)
• PostgreSQL internals (MVCC, tuning, pooling)
• GCP services (Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, IAM, networking)
• Java ecosystem (Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate)

Nice to Have

• GCP certifications (Professional Cloud Architect / Database Engineer)
• Experience with legacy-to-cloud automation tools
