Hiring: Linux Distribution / Build Engineer

Location: Kollam, Kerala

We are looking for a Linux Distribution / Build Engineer to design, build, and maintain custom Linux-based operating systems delivered as bootable live ISO images for desktop and server environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and maintain automated OS image build pipelines

Manage system bootstrapping, package selection, and customization

Maintain installer configuration and BIOS/UEFI boot setup

Package in-house and third-party applications

Implement security hardening, patching, and configuration baselines

Automate image testing, validation, and CI/CD workflows

Troubleshoot boot, kernel, driver, and installer issues

Required Skills:

Strong Linux administration and Linux internals knowledge

Shell scripting (Bash) and automation

Linux packaging and package management (Debian/Ubuntu or RPM)

Experience with QEMU/KVM, VirtualBox, or similar virtualization platforms

Python scripting for tooling and automation

Familiarity with bootloaders, kernel, initramfs, and filesystem images

Git and CI/CD practices
