Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Operations Engineer with strong expertise in server hardware and Linux administration. The role involves managing hardware lifecycle activities, break/fix operations, server provisioning, firmware upgrades, basic network support, and infrastructure maintenance across global data center environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage server hardware incidents, break/fix activities, and maintenance operations.
• Working on Hardware issues closely with to Linux environment.
• Coordinate with vendors, remote hands, and data center teams for repairs and deployments.
• Provision and deploy servers using DHCP, PXE, OS installation, and validation processes.
• Perform Linux server administration, troubleshooting, and Bash scripting.
• Plan and execute firmware upgrades and platform maintenance activities.
• Support basic networking tasks including cabling, switch connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, and VLAN troubleshooting.
• Maintain asset inventory, lifecycle records, and operational documentation.
• Drive automation and process improvements using scripting, APIs, and AI-assisted tools.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Data Center Operations, Infrastructure Support, or Server Hardware Management.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with enterprise server hardware, IPMI, iDRAC/iLO, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of DHCP, PXE, OS deployment, and server provisioning.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, switching, cabling).
• Experience working with vendors, remote hands, and distributed teams.
• Strong communication, coordination, and ticket management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting 24x7 production environments.
• Familiarity with Dell server CLI tools and firmware management.
• Scripting/automation experience using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or APIs.
• Experience with CMDB, asset management, or inventory systems.
• Exposure to AI-powered operational tools and workflow automation.
