Role Description The Lighting Engineer (Live Events) is a full-time, on-site role based in Panaji, responsible for planning, programming, and operating lighting systems for a variety of live events. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with event producers and technical teams to interpret creative briefs, designing lighting plots, and selecting appropriate fixtures and LED systems. The role involves installing, rigging, focusing, and testing lighting equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and consistency throughout rehearsals and live performances. The Lighting Engineer will manage lighting control consoles, troubleshoot technical issues under time-sensitive conditions, and optimize setups for both aesthetic impact and energy efficiency. The position also requires maintaining equipment, documenting system configurations, and contributing to continuous improvement of LumaSonics event workflows.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Lighting Design and general Lighting for live events.
Candidates should possess hands-on expertise in Lighting Control systems and operation of lighting consoles.
Candidates should possess experience working with LED Lighting Systems and other modern lighting technologies.
Candidates should possess knowledge of outdoor and Street Lighting considerations when applicable to event environments.
Relevant experience in live events, theatre, concerts, or broadcast lighting is highly beneficial.
Ability to read technical drawings, follow safety standards, and work at heights or with rigging equipment when required.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform under time pressure in dynamic event settings.
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with production, audio, and stage management teams.
Technical diploma or degree in lighting technology, electrical engineering, or a related field is an advantage, or equivalent practical experience.
