Role Title: Learning Experience Developer

Position Summary:

The Learning Experience Developer position requires a learning professional who is a motivated self-starter, adaptable to change, open to collaboration and resilient.

This person juggles multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity, taking direction and guidance from the learning experience designer. The Learning Experience Developer demonstrates expertise in learning development tools and knowledge of best practices.


The Learning Experience Developer will have experience designing complex and innovative curricula, programs, workshops, courses, and materials for instructor-led, virtual, online, and blended environments targeting a global audience. The audience could include internal employees or clients/partners at all levels. Learning Experience Developer will be a team player with experience designing learning solutions in corporate environments.


We follow the ADDIE model of instructional design: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. The Learning Experience Developer will partner with Learning Experience Designers in the Design, Develop and Implement phases of ADDIE. There could be specific times the developer is involved in Analysis or Evaluate.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers to develop high-level learning designs that creatively address agreed upon business learning and development (L&D) needs.
  • Collaborate with Learning Experience Designers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop content in accordance with Academy content design guidelines.
  • Manage development of projects when a dedicated project manager is not assigned.
  • Support the re-purposing of existing learning programs utilizing the latest technologies as appropriate to improve learner experience and adoption of new skills or behaviours
  • Build and deploy learning assets in Learning Management System (LMS) leveraging the LMSs capabilities to enrich the learning experience.
  • Maintain an organized repository for all source files and assets.
  • Keep abreast of latest learning and development trends and best practices by networking and professional development


Skill and Experience:

  • 4-5 years of experience required to perform essential job functions.
  • Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): 4-5 years of related work experience in learning experience design or instructional design. Knowledge in all phases of instructional design with an agile mindset ADDIE.
  • Expert in the development phase of instructional design with an agile mindset
  • Knowledge in all phases of instructional design with an agile mindset ADDIE.
  • Expert with the latest development tools including Articulate Storyline and Rise, Camtasia, Vyond.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of curiosity and continuous learning mindset.
  • Strong project management, planning and organizing skills.
  • Able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
  • Personal accountability and decision-making skills.
  • Acts as a change agent.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork with diverse colleagues in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary and global environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to tailor information for a range of audiences.

  • Experience with ADDIE model, instructional design, or equivalent combination of education and experience


Must Have Skills:

  • Strong project management, planning and organizing skills.

Education and Certifications:

4 Year / Bachelors Degree required
