Job Overview
Caterpillar Digital is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of our Content Supply Chain (CSC) platform. This role will enable scalable, efficient, and governed content operations across global digital channels and support the end-to-end content lifecycle across AEM, DAM, Workfront, and PIM ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of enterprise content platforms (AEM Sites, AEM Assets, Workfront integrations)
- Build scalable solutions supporting content authoring, digital asset management, and publishing workflows
- Define technical architecture, design patterns, and integration strategies
- Develop and optimize workflow-driven content pipelines (creation → approval → publishing → distribution)
- Lead integrations across AEM, PIM, Workfront, and downstream systems (eCommerce, search, analytics)
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of platform solutions
- Drive CI/CD practices and enforce engineering quality standards
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and Architects to deliver business outcomes
- Mentor engineers and support onboarding of new teams (internal and vendor)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Strong expertise in:
- Adobe Experience Manager (Sites and/or Assets)
- Java, REST APIs, and microservices architecture
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Maven, Azure DevOps)
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)
- Knowledge of Workfront, DAM, and content workflow tools
- Experience with PIM systems and eCommerce platforms
- Familiarity with headless CMS, GraphQL, or modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js)
- Experience working with global distributed teams
