Role- Project Intelligence Lead

Reporting to Founders Office

Bangalore, India Full-Time

This is not a usual Project Manager role.

We are not looking for someone to track projects. We are looking for someone to redesign how Zyeta sees, understands, and acts on project data across every site, in real time. If you have ever looked at a construction dashboard and thought 'this is broken and I know how to fix it' read on.

The Problem We're Solving -

Zyeta runs complex, multi-city workspace design and build projects simultaneously. Right now, tracking these projects means navigating scattered spreadsheets, fragmented field reports, BIM files that don't talk to schedules, and dashboards that tell you what happened last week not what's about to go wrong tomorrow.

We want to build a central command center a real-time Project Control Tower that gives leadership and project teams one coherent view of every active project: live site progress, BIM vs. actual, schedule vs. cost, and the early warning signals that predict problems before they become crises.

Think: NASA Mission Control for construction.

Not a report. Not a dashboard. A living, breathing intelligence layer that makes Zyeta's entire project portfolio visible, predictable, and actionable from one room.

The Role:

You will own Zyeta's entire project intelligence function from data architecture to the experience design of the Control Tower itself. You will report directly to the Founders Office, which means you will have both the access and the accountability that most people in this field never get.

A live data pipeline: site cloud dashboard

BIM vs. actual progress tracking system

Planned vs. actual schedule & cost layer

Early warning indicator framework

Project Intelligence Dashboard for leadership

Governance model for data accuracy & adoption

What you will own:

The entire digital PM experience at Zyeta

Tool selection, integration, and vendor decisions

Data standards across all project teams

PM capability building what gets measured, how

The roadmap: from MVP to full-scale deployment

The story leadership tells about every project

What You Will Actually Do:

In the first 30 days

Audit every existing data source, tool, and reporting process across active projects

Map the gaps: where does data die, get falsified, or never get captured?

Interview PMs, site teams, and leadership to understand the real pain not the stated pain

Pick one project and build the first working version of the Control Tower

In 3090 days

Integrate BIM, MSP/Primavera, and site capture tools into a single data layer

Design and launch the four-screen Control Tower experience

Build the early warning system: define indicators, thresholds, and trigger logic

Establish the governance model who owns what data, how it's verified, how disputes are resolved

Ongoing

Own the Project Intelligence Dashboard weekly cadence, leadership reviews, decision making layer

Continuously improve signal quality: reduce noise, increase predictive accuracy

Champion adoption across site teams make the system easy enough that people actually use it

Drive the long-term roadmap: AI-assisted delay prediction, AR overlays, automated progress detection

Who You Are:

We care more about how you think than where you studied. That said this role is genuinely hard. It sits at the intersection of systems design, data architecture, construction operations, and product thinking. You need to be strong in at least two of these and curious enough to grow in the rest.

You bring:

Systems thinking You see how tools connect into flows. You design data architectures, not just dashboards.

Construction operations knowledge You understand what a PM actually does on site RFIs, BIM, change control, schedule management. You've lived it, not just read about it.

Data fluency You are comfortable with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent. You can define a data model and explain why structure matters.

Product instinct You design for the user whether that's a site engineer inputting progress or a founder reviewing portfolio health. You think about experience, not just functionality.

Ownership without hand-holding You figure things out. You make decisions with incomplete information. You ship, then improve.

Experience & Background:

Strong signal (not a checklist)

37 years in construction, real estate, or infrastructure project management

Hands-on experience with BIM tools (BIM 360, ACC, Revit, or equivalent)

Built or managed PMIS, MIS dashboards, or project reporting systems

Experience with scheduling tools: MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent

Has integrated tools not just used them across a data pipeline

Has driven a digital initiative from concept to live deployment

Bonus (genuinely exciting if you have this)

Experience with OpenSpace, Matterport, or similar site capture platforms

Exposure to IoT sensors, drone photogrammetry, or automated progress detection

Built or contributed to an AI/ML-assisted project analytics tool

Experience in a startup or high-growth environment where structure didn't exist yet

On qualifications:

An IIT/NIT/top-tier engineering background is a positive signal. But we have hired people without it who were exceptional, and we have met people with it who couldn't think their way out of a standard problem.

This Role is NOT for You If...

You think 'digital transformation' means buying a SaaS tool and training the team on it.

You want the title 'Head of Digital' but aren't ready to do the unglamorous work of cleaning data, fixing integrations, and convincing site teams to change their habits.
