Hiring: Lead / Manager - Mechanical Design

Location: Chennai

Experience: 10+ years

We are hiring a Lead / Manager - Mechanical Design to drive design ownership across two core robotic products: Endobot (Pipeline Inspection) and Homosep (Manhole Cleaning).

This person will lead a team of 5 mechanical designers and be responsible for guiding product design, design reviews, problem-solving, prototyping support, and cross-functional coordination across both product lines.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience in Mechanical Design
• Hands-on expertise in AutoCAD, CATIA, and SolidWorks
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of designers
• Strong product design experience in industrial products / robotics / automation / special purpose machines
• Ability to work across design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing functions

What the role will involve

• Lead mechanical design for Endobot and Homosep
• Manage and guide a team of 5 designers
• Drive design quality, design decisions, and engineering problem-solving
• Support concept design, detailed design, prototyping, testing, and improvements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and manufacturable products
• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and field-ready

Ideal background

• 6+ years of experience in mechanical design
• Prior experience in robotics, automation, industrial equipment, inspection systems, or machine design
• Strong understanding of product development and design lifecycle
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
