Job Description

Inviting applications for the role of Data Quality Sr Developer, Azure Data Bricks !

We are seeking a Data Quality Developer with hands-on Azure and Databricks experience who will design and implement data quality frameworks, rules, and monitoring solutions for enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong PySpark, SQL, and Azure data pipeline expertise, with experience in building robust and automated DQ solutions integrated into medallion/lakehouse architectures.

The role will support both AMS operations (monitoring, incident fixes, enhancements) and AD work (new DQ dashboards, new ADF/DQ pipelines, new DQ Checks/Rules, profiling, reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Design and development of Data Pipeline & Data Quality Rules Development
  • Design and Implement Data Assets, Data Transformations, DQ rules conforming to all DQ dimensions
  • Design & Build rules using ADF Data flows, Pyspark on Databricks, SQL/Delta constraints.
  • Design & Develop integrations with Data Bricks Lakehouse, Azure SQL/Synapse, JIRA, Collibra Data Governance & SAP.
  • Responsible for Azure ADF Pipeline Integration for DQ checks & build reusable ADF components.
  • Translate business requirements into ADF/Databricks configurations, pipeline transformations and custom solutions for Data quality.
  • Execute Performance Tuning of Data Pipelines and DQ rules
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and design sessions.
  • Provide SME guidance on best practices for Azure/DataBricks Lakehouse Data Integration & Data Quality solutions.
  • Maintain configuration repositories, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide L2/L3 production support & Enhancements for Data Pipeline related incidents & adhere to SLA and metrics (e.g. Dashboard refresh failures, DQ pipeline failures, Incorrect metric calculations, Pipeline Enhancements, new DQ rule additions, Data transformations etc)
  • Manage service requests, Access requests, monitoring of Service Logs, Pipeline workload, performance and SLAs.
  • Maintain version control & promote builds across Dev → QA → Prod environments.
  • Create and maintain Technical Design Documents, Runbooks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands on Experience on Azure ADF (Pipelines, Data Flows, Integration Runtime, Monitoring) & Azure DataBricks (PySpark, SQL, Workflows, Delta Lake, DLT)
  • Good exposure and experience on overall Data Profiling rules, Data Quality dimensions, metrics and reporting & remediation process.
  • Hand on experience with Azure Lake integrations
  • Hands on experience on DQ rule development

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

  • Experience with Business Domains e.g. Customer/Vendor/Product data quality dimensions and rules.  
  • Experience in Agile/DevOps and CI/CD (Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket)
  • Good communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and governance workshops.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments with good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Certifications in Azure/DataBricks
