About the Role

The APO PPDS/EPPDs consultant role is for enabling implementation or Application Support of process and technology solutions related to diagnosis, analysis and transformation of Supply Planning functions in a project.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of experience in SAP APO PPDS/EPPDs module with S4 Hana Exposure.
• Experience in at least 2 APO PPDS implementation projects.
• Exposure to ECC would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Designing, configuration, Testing, training and documentation in SAP APO PPDS projects in customer organizations.
• A team player willing to learn and contribute within the Organization on APO PPDS.
• Help with building Assets and Accelerators within SAP APO PPDS and reduce the overall cost to serve.

Required Skills

• Understanding of basic Production planning processes.
• Understanding of overall Manufacturing processes.
• Good level of expertise in APO PPDS.
• Ability to design and primarily configure APO PPDS solution while understanding the integration aspects between different modules within APO as well as of APO with ERP systems.
• Ability to work on configuration scenarios along with writing functional specifications for customizations.
• Ability to prepare training material to train the client core team.
• Experience in writing test scripts for enabling Unit tests, Integration tests and UAT.
• Ability to do basic configuration i.e. create Key figures, planning books, data views, macros, etc.
• Ability to write functional logic in CIF customizations.
• Ability to configure and set up DS planning board and Planning tables.
• Knowledge in Characteristic dependent planning CDP or Variant configuration would be a very big advantage.
• Good understanding of ECC Master data specifically around Production Planning PP.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of SAP PP.
• HANDS ON EXPERIENCE IN CONFIGURING PPDS Heuristics i.e. both Production planning and Detailed scheduling.
• PPDS Optimizer setup including Optimizer profile settings.
• Block planning and or campaign planning.
• Scenarios like Safety stock planning and lead times.
• Creation of Setup groups, Setup matrix.
• Master data in ECC i.e. MRP 1 to 4 tabs.
• MRP in SAP ECC or MRP live in S4.
• Understanding of master and transaction data in Discrete and Process industries i.e. difference between Routing and Recipe.
• Modelling with Secondary resources.
