THE OPPORTUNITY


Wiingy is a global tutoring marketplace loved by students and parents worldwide, connecting learners with expert tutors across 350+ subjects in 180 countries. We are building a brand that earns trust and drives growth at the same time, and we want a brand leader who can do both.


This role sits its at the intersection of brand thinking, growth execution, and creative leadership.


This is a hands-on role. You will direct creative and lead campaigns, but you will also be close to the work. If you want a role where your decisions connect directly to how a brand gets known in a new market, this is it..


WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO


Your job is to build the brand presence, and drive awareness in the US market. Every channel you own and every piece of creative you direct has a business objective behind it - making Wiingy the name learners reach for when they need a tutor.


Brand and visual language

  • Be the custodian of Wiingy's brand positioning and visual identity - the person who ensures everything that goes out reflects who Wiingy is and what it stands for
  • Own and maintain the positioning brief and brand style guide - the documents that keep everything coherent from social copy to campaign creative
  • Own the visual language across every surface: social, web, YouTube, and product and build a design system so every touchpoint feels deliberate and consistent
  • Be the internal standard-setter - the person growth, product, and content teams come to when they need to know if something is on brand



Brand properties and community

  • Turn Wiingy's tutor and student base into a brand asset - activate 5,000+ tutors and 20,000+ students as advocates, storytellers, and proof points
  • Build community properties and brand moments that create credibility: tutor spotlights, student outcomes, community-led content that travels
  • Identify and launch brand properties that earn attention from the right people before they ever search for a tutor - the format is secondary, the outcome is what matters
  • Build properties that compound - more valuable in month twelve than month one because the audience around them has grown


Social

  • Set the social strategy: which platforms, what content types, what voice, and what the goal of each platform is in the overall brand context
  • Own Wiingy's organic social presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube strategy, creative direction, and execution
  • Drive visible growth in views, engagement and followership


Product and category launches

  • Own the go-to-market narrative for every product launch - not feature announcements but stories about what becomes possible
  • Lead category launches: when Wiingy enters a new subject, audience, or market, own how that category gets established and how Wiingy becomes the name associated with it
  • Brief and direct the creative team on launch assets across social, influencer, and owned channels
  • Work with product and growth teams so every launch lands as a cohesive moment rather than a series of disconnected announcements
  • Build a launch playbook that compounds each new launch faster, sharper, and more effective than the last


Creative direction

  • Direct a designer and video editor to produce creative output across all of the above setting the bar for what Wiingy looks and sounds like in the world
  • Translate brand strategy into creative briefs the team can execute against with clarity and confidence
  • Take campaign briefs and translate them into visual concepts, not just assets from the hero creative to the supporting assets that carry it through every channel
  • Review and hold output to a standard that reflects the brand being built not as a gatekeeper but as the person who maintains the bar


WHO YOU ARE


  • You think in audiences and channels before you think in assets - your first instinct when given a brief is to understand who you are reaching and why, not open Figma
  • You have 25 years of experience in brand marketing, brand and creative, or a closely related role - ideally at a startup or high-growth company. The number matters less than the evidence
  • You have built something from nothing, a brand presence, a community property, a creative direction, and you can show us what it looked like before and after you got there
  • You are creatively literate; can direct a designer, brief a video editor, and hold the output to a high standard even if you are not producing the work yourself
  • You have strong editorial instinct - you know what makes something resonate with a specific audience and can explain why something doesn't
  • You understand the US market - how parents and students there discover, evaluate, and trust a new product
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and good at asking the right questions when the brief isn't perfect


NICE TO HAVE


  • Experience in edtech, consumer, or marketplace businesses particularly where trust is the primary purchase driver
  • Experience with category or geography launches you have taken a brand into a new market and know what that requires
  • Familiarity with performance marketing creative, such as paid social or landing page assets
