Lead Architect

Area(s) of responsibility

Job Responsibilities: 

 A. Solutioning & Technical Architecture

• Lead discovery workshops with customer stakeholders to capture requirements, constraints, and non-functional requirements (availability, security, performance, compliance).
• Define end-to-end architecture for:
• Public cloud (AWS/Azure), hybrid cloud, and private cloud
• Data center services (compute, storage, backup, virtualization)
• Cloud migration, modernization, and managed services
• Create HLDs, reference architectures, and target operating models aligned to SRE/ITIL practices where relevant.
• Define observability-led operations approach (monitoring, logging, performance, capacity) as a part of managed services solutioning, leveraging enterprise tooling concepts used across infra portfolios.

 

B. Cloud Costing, Configurators & Commercials

• Build cost models using AWS and Azure commercial tooling:
• AWS Pricing Calculator, AWS landing zone/architecture sizing inputs
• Azure Pricing Calculator, Azure Landing Zone and consumption estimates
• Create end-to-end commercials:
• Effort estimation, staffing models, blended rates, onsite/offshore mix
• One-time and recurring cost elements (transition, tooling, run, build)
• Volume assumptions, unit rate cards, and deadband models (where applicable)
• Work with finance/bid teams to ensure pricing aligns to expected margins and target pricing.

C. IaC, DevOps & Automation-led Engineering

• Design solution components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM / Bicep knowledge required
• Define DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines and operational automation patterns

 

Minimum requirements (Education Qualification, Work Experience and skills): 

 

Educational qualifications, Experience

• BTech / BE in CS, IT or equivalent 
• 15+ years of overall experience in Cloud and Data center services solutioning and delivery
• Out of the above, atleast 8+ years of experience as Solution Architect for Cloud and Infrastructure services responding to RFPs / RFIs / Proactive pursuits for global customer
