Language Assessment Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Language Assessment Specialist to join our content and assessment team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and optimizing high-quality assessments across multiple domains, with a strong focus on language-based evaluations and overall assessment quality.

You will work closely with internal teams to design reliable, fair, and effective assessments aligned with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and review assessments across domains such as aptitude, verbal ability, and situational judgment
• Design and validate high-quality test questions including MCQs and scenario-based assessments
• Develop language-based assessment content including reading comprehension, grammar, and contextual usage
• Support translation and localization of assessment content while preserving intent and difficulty level
• Ensure alignment with frameworks such as CEFR and other assessment standards
• Perform quality assurance checks to maintain clarity, consistency, and fairness
• Review and improve existing assessments based on performance insights and feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product and client requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in assessment creation, instructional design, content development, or ed-tech
• Strong expertise in question writing, test review, and assessment validation
• Experience with language-based assessments and/or translation/localization projects
• Excellent command of English (additional language proficiency is a plus)
• Strong understanding of question structuring and difficulty calibration
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• Working knowledge of CEFR or similar language proficiency frameworks
• Experience working in multilingual assessment environments
• Understanding of assessment quality metrics and validation processes
