About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced KMDB Developer to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade knowledge management database systems. This role focuses on building scalable architectures that enable efficient storage, retrieval, and governance of structured and unstructured organizational knowledge.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in database design, data integration, performance optimization, and cloud-based data platforms, along with the ability to translate business needs into robust data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable database architectures for knowledge management systems
• Develop and manage ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources (emails, reports, live feeds, etc.)
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and efficient data modeling
• Collaborate with frontend and application teams to enable seamless search and data access
• Implement data security, governance, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR)
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform backup & recovery operations
• Maintain detailed documentation for database architecture and processes

Required Skills & Expertise

Must-Have

• 1215 years of experience in database design, development, and knowledge management systems
• Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Experience in building and managing ETL processes and data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Strong expertise in database performance tuning and optimization
• Knowledge of data security, encryption, and governance frameworks

Good-to-Have

• Experience with kdb+ and q (especially in financial data environments)
• Programming knowledge in Python, Java, or C++
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git/Bitbucket)
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Exposure to real-time or high-frequency data systems

• Languages: SQL, Python / Java / C++
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
• Tools: Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
