About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Statutory Compliance Specialist to support payroll and statutory compliance operations through accurate documentation, employee record management, enrollments, exits, and data maintenance. The role requires strong coordination skills, process discipline, and attention to detail in handling employee and compliance-related records.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Documentation & Records Management

  • Maintain and organize employee records, statutory documents, and compliance files.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of employee master data and personnel records.
  • Perform regular data sanitization and validation to maintain accurate employee information across HR and payroll systems.
  • Manage document collection, verification, and filing for employees and contractors.

Employee Enrollments & Exits

  • Handle statutory enrollments including PF, ESI, PT, and other compliance registrations for new joiners.
  • Process employee exit formalities including PF/ESI updates, full & final documentation, and records closure.
  • Support onboarding documentation and employee compliance formalities.
  • Coordinate with employees for pending documents and compliance-related submissions.

Payroll & Compliance Support

  • Assist in payroll input preparation including attendance, leave records, and employee data updates.
  • Resolve attendance related regularizations, inconsistencies
  • Assist in preparing reports
  • Support statutory filing documentation and challan preparation.
  • Maintain compliance trackers, registers, and audit documentation.
  • Assist in handling PF and ESI portal-related activities and issue tracking.

Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate with HR, payroll, and finance teams for employee data accuracy.
  • Respond (escalate) to employee queries related to documentation and statutory enrollments.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews through timely documentation support.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Basic understanding of payroll and statutory compliance processes.
  • Knowledge of PF, ESI, PT, and employee documentation procedures.
  • Good proficiency in MS Excel and HR/payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.

Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Commerce, HR, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

13 years of experience in payroll support or statutory compliance documentation.
