Junior Designer

Benne is looking for a Junior Designer to join our design team as we grow across new locations and continue evolving the Benne experience across spaces, service, retail, packaging and customer touchpoints.

We are looking for a *curious design thinker *,someone who can observe closely, spot patterns, ask better questions and use design to solve real problems across functions.

The role sits at the intersection of Brand, Space, Customer experience, Hospitality and Operations.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Spatial Brand Experience

Support the design development of new Benne outlets

Help translate the Benne brand into space, material, detail and experience

Work on layouts, visual references, and material solutions while thinking through brand, flow and customer journey

Design Review & Improvement

Review existing outlets for design gaps, maintenance issues and improvement opportunities

Observe how customers and teams use the space

Identify practical ways to improve experience, function and brand consistency for both internal and external users

Brand-Led Design Opportunities

Help evolve how Benne shows up beyond its physical outlets

Explore ideas for strenthening brand experience across packaging, merchandising, retail experiences and customer touchpoints

Contribute to design interventions that support brand positioning and business growth

Design Development Documentation & Execution

Work on presentations and design documentation to support consistency and clarity across outlets

Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, architects, contractors and external collaborators

Help translate ideas into practical, well-resolved execution

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH

A strong design education or design-thinking foundation

Curiosity across food, culture, hospitality, retail, craft and brand experience

A good eye for space, detail, proportion, materials and visual language

The ability to observe patterns, identify problems and frame design opportunities

A problem-solving mindset, not just an execution-led approach

Lateral thinking and the ability to arrive at thoughtful, unexpected solutions

Comfort moving between ideas, documentation, coordination and execution

Good communication skills and the ability to work well with teams

Flexibility, initiative and comfort in a growing startup environment

This role is for someone who enjoys both thinking and doing.

Someone who can notice what others miss, connect small details to the bigger picture, and help shape how Benne grows as a brand and experience.
