Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

Strong experience in Java 8+ and Spring Boot.

Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.Hands-on experience or strong understanding of microservices architecture.Working knowledge of Spring Boot-based service development, API integration, exception handling, logging, and validation.Good understanding of SQL, relational databases, JPA/Hibernate.Experience in writing unit tests using JUnit/Mockito or similar frameworks.Experience with Git and standard development practices.Basic understanding of OOP, data structures, design principles, and clean coding practices. 

Good-to-Have

Experience with Spring Cloud, API Gateway, Config Server, Eureka/Service Discovery.Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Basic knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes.Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.Exposure to monitoring/logging tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus.Basic understanding of Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT.Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
