Role Summary

Responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and reliability of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers.
• Manage physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Monitor server performance, uptime, and system health.
• Handle server patching, firmware upgrades, and OS updates.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Configure and maintain VMware/Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Perform backup and recovery operations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, OS, storage, and network-related issues.
• Coordinate with vendors for AMC, warranty, and hardware replacement.
• Implement server security policies, antivirus, and access controls.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Maintain server documentation, asset records, and SOPs.
• Monitor storage utilization and server capacity planning.
• Provide support for application hosting and database servers.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Knowledge of storage technologies including SAN and NAS.
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: BE (Computer Science/Information Science), BCA, or MCA.
• Experience: 35 years
