Job Description

A modern car has 40+ ECUs talking over CAN, RKE protocols broadcasting at 433 MHz, TPMS sensors chirping their own radio frames, Bluetooth pairing flows nobody fully audits, and a cellular telematics unit you never asked for.

Almost nobody in India is doing serious vulnerability research on the cars Indians actually drive.

We're hiring an intern to change that.

( , , ):

Map every ECU on the CAN bus end to end. SocketCAN, can-utils, savvyCAN, Wireshark.

Reverse-engineer the proprietary protocols sitting on top of CAN. Build a frame dictionary.

Demonstrate controlled actuation of cabin systems from a laptop on the OBD port instrument cluster, doors, windows, lights, HVAC, wipers. Reproducible scripts and video proof.

Characterise the RF attack surface RKE protocol, TPMS sensors, Bluetooth pairing. HackRF, RTL-SDR, GNU Radio.

Write up findings to CVE standard. We handle responsible disclosure with the OEM.

- - :

The powertrain side. Lateral movement from infotainment to the vehicle gateway. Throttle, brake, steering frame analysis on a static vehicle with proper safety isolation. Eventually drive-by-wire demonstrations on a closed test surface tethered first, wireless after. This is a real 6-month arc, not a weekend hack. Done right.

The kind of work Miller & Valasek published in 2015 that the industry is still patching against.

You don't need an "automotive cybersecurity" line on your CV. We care if you've:

built things with STM32 / ESP32 / Pi

used SocketCAN, can-utils, or savvyCAN on anything

played with SDRs like HackRFOne

done CTFs, JTAG firmware dumps, bug bounties, hardware teardowns

got curious enough to take apart your own router

We don't care about CGPA. We care what you've built.

DM us with a GitHub link and one paragraph on the most interesting thing you've reverse-engineered. That's the whole filter.
