Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position for atleast 3 months of work based in Hyderabad for an Intern Designer at SOROS. The Intern Designer will assist in the creation of innovative design concepts, develop detailed technical sketches, collaborate with design teams on garment production, and research materials and trends that align with SOROSs philosophy of conscious fashion. This role involves working closely with craftsmen, attending hands-on sessions, and supporting the design process from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Design skills including sketching, garment development, and proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Research and analytical skills for understanding materials, trends, and customer insights
• Communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including artisans and designers
• Attention to detail and a strong aesthetic sensibility for producing high-quality designs
• An understanding of sustainable and ethical fashion principles is a plus
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
• Enthusiasm for hands-on learning in the fashion industry
