Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Chennai. The Interior Designer will collaborate with architects and project teams to develop interior concepts, layouts, and detailed designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, selecting materials and finishes, preparing mood boards and presentations, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selections. The role involves preparing construction drawings and documentation, liaising with vendors and contractors, and conducting site visits to ensure design intent, quality, and timelines are maintained. The Interior Designer will also support project management activities, including client communication, design revisions, and adherence to budget and sustainability goals.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in Interior Design and Architecture, with the ability to integrate interior concepts with overall architectural vision.
Proficiency in Space Planning, ensuring functional, efficient, and aesthetically coherent layouts for various types of spaces.
Experience preparing and reviewing Construction Drawings, detail drawings, and documentation for execution on site.
Capability in FF&E selection and coordination, including materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures aligned with design standards.
Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and presentation tools.
Strong visual and spatial design sense, with attention to detail, color, and materials.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with clients, consultants, and site teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving design requirements.
Interest in sustainable design practices and familiarity with contemporary and traditional design trends is an advantage.
