We are not looking for someone to simply fill a seat.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a project someone who can survey a site, develop a concept, produce drawings, coordinate vendors and contractors, manage execution, solve problems on site, and deliver work with depth, detail, and quality.

About the Practice

RSD is an independent interior architecture studio based in Mumbai, led by Rohan Sahukar.

Before founding RSD, Rohan worked with ANA Designs and JJ Poonawala, contributing to projects for brands and institutions including Hindalco, IDFC, BITS Pilani, Indriya by Novel Jewelers, and Techno Acoustics.

Today, RSD works across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects in Mumbai, Pune, Goa, and Coonoor including private bungalows in Goa and Coonoor, residences at Oberoi Splendor, and offices such as Techno Acoustics and Maker Chamber.

Role & Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys and prepare measurement drawings

Design conceptualization and client presentations

Coordinate with 3D visualizers and rendering teams

Prepare conceptual drawings, technical drawings, and GFC drawings

Research materials, understand their specifications and applications, and explore innovative ways to use them

Coordinate with vendors from selection to delivery and on-site application

Coordinate with contractors through regular site visits

Manage end-to-end project coordination and execution

Ensure work flows systematically and efficiently

Identify, understand, and resolve on-site challenges

Coordinate with all agencies involved in the project

Prepare schedules, BOQs, estimates, and execution-related documentation

Basic Qualification

Degree in Interior Designing

Based out of Mumbai

Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience

Skills Required

AutoCAD

SketchUp & V-Ray

Photoshop

Hand Sketching

Excel schedules, BOQs, and estimates

Presentation making skills

Mood boards and concept sheets

Ability to use basic AI tools to improve speed, workflow, and quality of output

Who Were Looking For

Not a beginner.

You have real experience handling projects and understand what it takes to execute work properly on site.

You should be proactive, responsible, detail-oriented, time-bound, and capable of driving a project toward completion without needing constant direction.

You should be able to:

Independently survey and measure sites

Prepare accurate survey drawings

Conceptualize, develop, and execute projects end-to-end

Understand materials, specifications, applications, and execution detailing

Innovate with materials beyond their conventional use

Find and coordinate the right vendors and agencies to get work executed properly

Understand the financial side of projects including rates, costing, BOQs, and execution economics

Anticipate site challenges, assess situations practically, and find solutions efficiently

Coordinate consultants, contractors, vendors, and agencies while streamlining the overall process

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely cares about the depth of thought, the details, the process, and the quality of the final outcome.
