Scope of Role

The Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/V6 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for projects of Climate Control System.

Area of Responsibility:

This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Climate Control System
Design and development of Cabin Cooling System and its Component, AC Lines & Hoses, Cooling Circuit layout
Ensure data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverables.
Ability to check and manage clearance to interface parts.
Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Lead Engineer/Team Lead
Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met on time.
Ensure all packaging feasibility for Component.
Extensive experience in using CATIA V5/V6
Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
Engineering knowledge of defined component/system design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
Excellent communications skills demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels.
Ability to interact with cross functional teams like CAE/VI Lead teams, interpret CAE results and suggest corrective actions.
Good understanding on GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.

Essential:

Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6. Catia V6 is most preferred.
Good all-around design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of Cooling Systems project.
In depth knowledge of cooling system and component design requirement for AC lines, HVAC, Condenser, Chiller, Mounts and brackets.
Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
Team Centre Engineering (TCE) / Enovia
Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
Working with parametric design and methodology.

In depth knowledge of Climate control system
CAD Literacy: Ability to generate CAD data and Master sections in CATIA V5/V6
PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc
Analytical, logical, and critical thinking ability.
