Job Description
Job Title: Instrument Panel (IP) Design Engineer CATIA V5
Location: Pune/Bengaluru Akkodis Office
Industry: Automotive

- IP Design Engineer 3-6 Years
- Senior IP Design Engineer 6-9 Years
Key Skills Required (Both Roles):
- Strong proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting; Surfacing preferred)
- Mandatory experience in Instrument Panel (IP) / Interior development
- Strong knowledge of automotive regulations & safety standards (ECE, FMVSS, interior safety, crash norms, head impact, etc.)
- Experience in OEM environment; Porsche project experience will be Added advantage
- Ability to work in Offshore support model
- Strong communication and independent working capability
Role Overview:
IP Design Engineer (3-6 Years)
- IP design & development from concept to production
- 3D modeling, detailing & engineering release
- Packaging feasibility & regulatory compliance
- Cross-functional coordination
- Ability to work independently with minimal support
Senior IP Design Engineer (6-9 Years)
- Lead IP concept development, master sections & proposals
- Strong expertise in interior regulatory requirements
- Technical ownership of design deliverables
- Customer interaction & stakeholder coordination
- Ability to independently drive concepts and engineering decisions
Experience Required:
- Mid-Level: Minimum 3-6 years in Automotive IP/Interior development
- Senior-Level: Minimum 6-9 years with concept & proposal experience
