Position: Instructional Designer & Moodle LMS Course Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and creative professional to design engaging English language courses on a variety of topics and develop/upload them on our Moodle LMS platform. The ideal candidate should have expertise in English content development, instructional design, and Moodle course creation, with the ability to create learner-centric, interactive, and pedagogically strong online courses.

Key Responsibilities

Course Design & Content Development

• Design and develop English courses on topics such as spoken English, grammar, vocabulary, communication skills, creative writing, and teacher training.
• Create structured course outlines, lesson plans, modules, assessments, quizzes, assignments, and learning activities.
• Develop engaging multimedia learning content including presentations, worksheets, videos, and downloadable resources.
• Apply sound instructional design principles for online learning.

Moodle LMS Development & Management

• Build and upload courses in the Moodle platform.
• Configure course layouts, modules, quizzes, discussion forums, assignments, certificates, badges, and tracking tools.
• Integrate interactive learning elements and ensure smooth learner navigation.
• Manage course updates, maintenance, and quality assurance within the LMS.

Instructional Quality & Learner Experience

• Design courses aligned to learning outcomes and engagement goals.
• Ensure content is interactive, pedagogically sound, and suitable for online self-paced or instructor-led learning.
• Review and improve user experience, assessments, and course flow.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Work with academic and content teams to develop new course ideas.
• Recommend improvements for scaling and enhancing the LMS offerings.
• Stay updated on e-learning trends, AI tools, and digital learning practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in English language teaching/content development.
• Strong expertise in Moodle course creation and administration.
• Portfolio of online courses developed in Moodle.
• Experience in instructional design / e-learning course development.
• Ability to create engaging digital learning materials and assessments.
• Knowledge of online pedagogy, learner engagement strategies, and course structuring.
• Strong written communication and editing skills.
• Familiarity with multimedia tools, AI tools, and authoring tools is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience creating K12, teacher training, or spoken English courses.
• Knowledge of SCORM/H5P interactive content is a plus.
• Experience designing self-paced and blended learning courses.
