We are looking for an Infrastructure Security & Migration Engineer (Image/OS Specialist) who is

passionate about Linux security, automation, and modern cloud infrastructure. He/She will be

responsible for designing, building, automating, and hardening secure operating system images

(Linux). This role focuses on aligning OS configurations with security benchmarks while

ensuring minimal disruption during the migration process.

Image Hardening & Compliance: Develop and maintain secured OS baselines (Linux

Ubuntu, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Amazon Linux) in accordance with CIS Benchmark

(like NIST 800-53, DISA STIG).

Imaging: Create, manage, and deploy virtual machine templates and golden images.

Security Remediation: Review baseline configurations, identify security gaps, and apply

hardening methods to reduce risk.

Scripting & Automation: Utilize Bash, Shell, or Ansible scripting to automate image

creation, patching, and configuration management.

Testing & Validation: Perform UAT (User Acceptance Testing) to ensure application

compatibility on hardened images before production rollout.

Documentation: Maintain documentation, including security control mappings, runbooks,

and build procedures.

Mandatory Requirements

Experience: 5+ years of experience in system administration, OS migration, and security

hardening.

OS Expertise: Deep knowledge of Enterprise Linux environments.

Migration Tools: Experience with migration technologies (e.g., Azure Migrate, AWS SMS,

VMware HCX, PlateSpin).

Security Standards: Familiarity with any of NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, or DISA

STIGs.

Virtualization: Strong proficiency in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and V2V conversions.

Scripting: PowerShell for Windows; Bash for Linux.

Endpoint Management: SCCM (MECM) or Microsoft Intune for patching and deployment.
