Index Analyst

Were Hiring | Index Analyst Governance & Methodology

We are looking for a detail-oriented Index Analyst to support governance processes and maintain index methodology and ground rule documentation. You will work closely with the Policy Team and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective coordination of internal processes.

Location: Bangalore

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare for governance meetings (agendas, minutes, action tracking)
• Maintain and update Ground Rules, Methodology Documents & Benchmark Statements
• Coordinate creation of documentation for new indices (Equity, Fixed Income, ESG, Digital Assets)
• Ensure all documentation reflects accurate index construction
• Manage approval workflows through governance forums
• Communicate changes across internal stakeholders
• Support publication of technical notices and documentation updates
• Act as backup for Index Rules Manager when required

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in index analysis / financial documentation / governance roles
• Strong organizational & multitasking skills
• Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong written & verbal communication
• Experience in technical writing/documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
