Ignition Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an Ignition Engineer with hands-on experience in Ignition 8.3 to develop and maintain SCADA and industrial automation applications. The role involves working with real-time data, dashboards, and system integrations. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable and high-performance solutions for industrial environments. They will also contribute to improving system efficiency, reliability, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate PLC/machine data using SCADA, OPC UA, Modbus, etc.
• Design dashboards and visualization screens (perspective/vision).
• Configure tags, alarms, and Tag Historian
• Develop Python scripts for automation and business logic
• Work with SQL databases for data storage and reporting
• Build reports and dashboards for monitoring and analytics
• Integrate external systems using REST APIs (ERP/MES)
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance
• Support deployment and ongoing system maintenance

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Ignition 8.3 (Perspective, Gateway)
• Good understanding of SCADA and industrial automation
• Experience with OPC UA, Modbus, or similar industrial protocols
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL)
• Python scripting knowledge (Ignition Jython preferred)
• Strong problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• Experience in manufacturing/industrial projects
• Knowledge of MES systems
• Exposure to IIoT or Edge platforms
• Ignition certification
