Assistant Manager IAM Testing (IGA + Identity Security Cloud)

Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager IAM Testing to lead quality assurance for Identity and

Access Management (IAM) initiatives across Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) and

Identity Security Cloud (ISC) platforms. This role is responsible for end-to-end validation of

identity lifecycle processes, access governance controls, compliance workflows, API integrations,

and cloud/on-prem connector configurations. The Assistant Manager is expected to move

beyond manual testing and take ownership of test strategy, test automation, defect governance,

stakeholder coordination, and audit-ready test evidence across medium-to-large IAM programs.

The role requires a strong understanding of identity platforms, compliance expectations, and

integration-led testing in hybrid enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end QA delivery for IAM/IGA testing workstreams, including test planning,

scope coverage, defect governance, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication.

Review and analyze functional requirements, business use cases, process flows, and

technical design documents to define comprehensive IAM test strategies.

Design and maintain detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data aligned to compliance

controls, role models, and access governance outcomes.

Manage the defect lifecycle in tools such as Jira, including defect logging, triage support,

prioritization, retesting, and closure validation.

Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure that new platform releases, application onboarding activities, and rule/configuration changes do not impact existing business logic.

Validate Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) identity lifecycle automation across flat-file, HR-

driven, and direct connector-based integrations.

Test access certification campaigns and validate that approval and revocation actions trigger

the expected downstream provisioning and de-provisioning behavior.

Design and execute Segregation of Duties (SoD) test scenarios by creating toxic role

combinations and verifying policy detection, prevention, or mitigation handling.

Validate entitlement management, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Attribute-Based

Access Control (ABAC) logic to ensure users receive only the access appropriate to their

attributes and role assignments.

Configure, validate, and test connectors and source integrations for platforms such as Active

Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, Workday, Salesforce, JDBC, and other enterprise targets for

aggregation and provisioning use cases.

Verify schema mapping, identity profile configuration, transformations, account correlation,

and entitlement synchronization to ensure accurate identity record mapping.

Test cloud approval workflows, escalation timers, notifications, and exception handling for

IAM governance processes in Identity Security Cloud environments.

Perform API validation using tools such as Postman to test REST APIs for provisioning, reconciliation, entitlement retrieval, workflow execution, and audit/log extraction.

Drive test automation initiatives using Selenium, Playwright, Java, or Python for repeatable

validation of IAM UI flows, API transactions, and regression packs.

Prepare test evidence packs, execution reports, defect summaries, and artifact repositories

to support internal assurance reviews and external compliance audits.

Collaborate closely with application owners, IAM architects, security engineers, developers,

DevOps teams, and project managers to resolve integration issues and unblock test execution.

Coach junior testers and contribute to reusable QA assets, accelerators, test templates, and

best practices for IAM testing delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or

equivalent practical experience.

69 years of total experience in software testing / QA, with strong hands-on experience in IAM, IGA, or identity security testing.

Proven experience in testing IAM / IGA platforms, identity lifecycle processes, access certifications, role models, entitlement management, and policy controls.

Hands-on experience with Identity Security Cloud (ISC) / cloud IGA capabilities including

connectors, aggregation, schema mapping, identity profiles, correlation rules, workflows,

and REST APIs.

Strong understanding of Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML), access provisioning/de-provisioning, certification campaigns, Segregation of Duties (SoD), RBAC, and ABAC concepts.

Experience executing API tests using Postman or similar tools and validating

provisioning/reconciliation behavior across integrated systems.

Experience with defect management and test management tools such as Jira, and familiarity

with structured QA processes and release validation.

Hands-on exposure to automation frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Java, or

Python for UI/API regression automation.

Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills in

enterprise delivery environments.

Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience testing SailPoint Identity Security Cloud or similar IGA platforms in enterprise

environments.

Knowledge of directory services and source systems such as Active Directory, Entra ID,

LDAP, Workday, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and database/JDBC-connected applications.

Familiarity with compliance and audit frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, and access

governance control testing.

Experience working in Agile / Scrum-based delivery teams and participating in sprint ceremonies and release cycles.

Exposure to CI/CD-integrated test automation and test evidence management practices.
