Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned HR Manager to lead and manage the full spectrum of human resources functions at our ice cream manufacturing plant in Paithan. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can operate at both a strategic and operational level building a high-performing, compliant, and engaged workforce in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for plant roles workers, supervisors, quality, production, logistics, and corporate support functions
- Partner with department heads to assess manpower needs and ensure timely hiring
- Build sourcing pipelines for skilled and unskilled factory labour in the Aurangabad / Paithan region
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure full statutory compliance: ESIC, PF, Shops & Establishments Act, Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, and FSSAI-related HR requirements
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, attendance, and leave management
- Liaise with government bodies and labour departments as required
- Manage contract workforce and third-party labour vendors
Performance Management
- Design and drive the appraisal cycle for plant and office employees
- Partner with HODs to set KRAs, monitor performance, and deliver developmental feedback
- Identify high-potential employees and support career progression planning
Training & Development
- Conduct training needs assessments and roll out functional and behavioural training programmes
- Ensure induction and onboarding programmes are structured and consistent
- Drive food safety, hygiene, and compliance training as per FSSAI / GMP norms
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances and disciplinary matters
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture
- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, recognition programmes, and welfare activities
- Manage IR sensitively - prevent and resolve conflict, maintain harmony on the shop floor
Payroll & HR Systems
- Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing in coordination with Finance
- Manage HRIS / attendance systems and ensure data integrity
- Prepare HR MIS reports, dashboards, and headcount analyses for management
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent from a recognised institution
- 610 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a plant / factory HR role
- Prior experience in FMCG, food processing, dairy, or frozen food manufacturing strongly preferred
- Solid knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance
- Experience managing blue-collar and white-collar workforce together
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with HRMS / payroll tools
- Strong communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English
