Role Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be a core member of the leadership team and will be responsible for driving endtoend HR operations, people strategy, and compliance. The role requires handson experience across recruitment, employee lifecycle management, contracts, payroll, statutory compliance, and performance management, with strong expertise in Zoho People and Zoho Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to leadership on people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational development
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to policy, culture, and performance discussions
  • Align HR practices with business goals and growth plans

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management

  • Manage endtoend recruitment for all roles (tech, sales, support, leadership)
  • Coordinate with hiring managers for workforce planning and hiring strategy
  • Oversee interview processes, offer discussions, and closures

Onboarding, Offboarding & Employee Lifecycle

  • Ensure seamless onboarding and induction programs
  • Manage confirmations, role changes, promotions, and exits
  • Handle offboarding processes including clearances, documentation, and exit formalities

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters
  • Drive performance management cycles, goal setting, reviews, and PIPs
  • Coach managers on performance, feedback, and employee engagement

Contracts, Policies & Documentation

  • Draft, review, and manage employment contracts, HR policies, NDAs, service agreements, and amendments
  • Ensure contracts and policies are legally compliant and businessaligned
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation

Payroll, Statutory Compliance & Audits

  • Manage payroll processing through Zoho Payroll
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Shops & Establishment, etc.)
  • Coordinate audits, filings, and statutory reporting
  • Liaise with finance and external consultants when required

HR Systems & Process Excellence

  • Own and administer Zoho People and Zoho Payroll (attendance, leave, payroll, onboarding, reporting)
  • Create HR dashboards and MIS reports for leadership review
  • Continuously improve HR processes and SOPs

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

  • 610 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong handson experience with Zoho People and Zoho Payroll
  • Indepth knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and performance management
  • Excellent drafting skills for contracts, policies, and HR documentation
