Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled HIL Engineer to join our team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the fault-free performance of all HIL platforms at our customers' sites across India. Your key roles will include:

• Performing relevant tests to ensure real-time capability and demonstrating the same to end users in a convincing and appreciative manner.
• Collaborating closely with both software and hardware development teams to enhance system performance and ensure seamless integration.
• Providing specialized support to customers, addressing their technical needs, and ensuring their systems operate optimally.
• Associating well with the design, assembly, and production of HIL systems locally in India.
• Your expertise in tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and dSPACE, along with your strong problem-solving and communication skills, will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions and maintaining the functionality of HIL systems. This dynamic role requires a blend of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and collaborative teamwork, making it both challenging and rewarding.

• dSPACE Code Generation enables shorter ECU software development times and high-quality production software through highly optimized workflows in an integrated development, testing, and validation environment.

ECUs developed and tested with dSPACE products can be seen in all domains of Automotive Industry, both in new areas such as Software-Defined Vehicles, Autonomous Driving, and e-Mobility, and in traditional areas such as Powertrains, V2X and Connected Services, Communication Systems, Body & Comfort Electronics, and Chassis. dSPACE is also active in many more different industries such as On- & Offroad Commercial Vehicles, Railway, Aerospace, UGVs & UAVs, Marine, Machinery & Power Tools, and Academia.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Wiring Configurations: Design and implement wiring configurations for HIL systems, ensuring proper connectivity and functionality.
• Modify Systems: Modify existing HIL systems to accommodate new requirements or improve performance.
• Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues in HIL systems, ensuring optimal operation.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of Hardware Design, and system modifications.
• Hardware Design: Use relevant tools to design an optimal hardware solution and work on the production of the same.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Diploma plus bachelors degree in electrical, instrumentation, or electronics engineering.
• Basic Operation: Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Experience: Proven experience with HIL design and manufacturing, real-time processing systems, and in-vehicle communication protocols.
• dSPACE Products: Experience with dSPACE products (or others) for RCP and HIL.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in tools like MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk, and Python.
• Knowledge: Understanding of sensor-actuator systems, DSP, and instrumentation.
• Calibration Protocols: Knowledge of calibration protocols, ECU diagnostics, and ECU flash.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Industry Awareness: Awareness of automotive technology, industry, and market trends.
• Travel: Willingness to travel within India for up to 60% of the time
