Job Description
Role: Highbyte Development Engineers
Experience: 3-5 Years
Location: Pune, Gurgaon
Key Skills:
- Working knowledge of IT/OT data architecture and the challenges of OT-IT convergence
- Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols OPC UA, MQTT (and Sparkplug B), and/or Modbus TCP
- Familiarity with shop-floor systems: MES (e.g., PAS-X, Pharma Suite, Opcenter), SCADA/HMI, PLCs, and DCS
- Experience handling time-series data from industrial historians OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI System preferred
- Working knowledge of data standardization principles aligned with ISA-95 (equipment hierarchy) and ISA-88 (batch process control)
- Basic understanding of data pipeline design ingestion, transformation, and routing of industrial data payloads
Good to Have:
- Exposure to Unified Namespace (UNS) architecture and MQTT broker configuration
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL databases, and JSON data structures in an OT context
- Familiarity with edge-to-cloud data flows AWS IoT SiteWise, Azure IoT Hub, Snowflake, or similar platforms
- Experience with Industrial DataOps or IIoT integration tooling (e.g., Ignition, Node-RED, Kepware, or equivalent)
- Prior work in discrete or process manufacturing industries pharma, automotive, food & beverage, or energy preferred
