Job Summary

An opportunity for an experienced Publications leader to drive high-quality scientific communications delivery, lead large teams, and manage client engagements. The role combines functional expertise, people leadership, and business growth, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery & Quality Excellence

• Lead publications teams to deliver high-quality scientific documents
• Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and compliance
• Conduct robust review and quality checks across deliverables

2. Team & People Leadership

• Manage Team Leads and large teams to drive productivity and efficiency
• Coach, mentor, and build capability across functional and leadership levels
• Drive hiring, retention, and succession planning

3. Operations & Process Excellence

• Monitor project metrics, utilization, and delivery performance
• Identify gaps and implement CAPA, process improvements, and training interventions
• Drive automation and efficiency initiatives

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Engage with clients to understand processes, governance, and expectations
• Partner with Account/Alliance teams to strengthen relationships
• Ensure effective communication and escalation management

5. Business Growth & Account Management

• Own revenue, billing, forecasting, and budget for assigned accounts
• Drive account growth through farming and cross-selling
• Support business development through client mapping and opportunity identification

Key Requirements

• 15+ years of strong experience in scientific publications/medical writing leadership
• Proven track record in team management, client engagement, and delivery excellence
• Experience in account management and business development
• Strong understanding of process improvement, quality frameworks, and compliance
