The role being offered is Head of Projects & Engineering -, where the candidate will be required to handle all aspects of Projects & Engineering in the organization

Job Description is:

Project Management:

Provides strategic leadership and technical, operational, financial and managerial leadership for successful implementation of projects

Make sure projects are aligned with overall strategic goals and objectives of the organization and, if not, revise plans to make them so

Oversee all project implementation related to project management, including monitoring and reporting, financials transactions, execution of project plans and performance

Ensures Project sites are completed as per schedule

Ensures collection of dues happen in a timely manner

Selects and manages the training of project teams, assigning clearroles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision and managing performance

Ensure projects deliver specified results and meet quality expectations

Creates and manages project budgets

Regularly updates clients, stakeholders and executives with reports on the progress and performance of projects

Identify and mitigate project risk to avoid delays and cost overruns

Follow all regulations related to projects and ensure theyre in compliance

Guides individual project managers across a portfolio of projects

Engineering:

Get Involved & Drive the pre-bid evaluation to understand the scope of work involved.

Undertaking any pre-bid engineering required for validation of basic engineering & developing accurate quantification of the scope

Co-ordinate with engineering & estimation teams within the organization as well as external specialists, if required, to ensure high level of accuracy in the BD team's understanding of the scope and improve quote accuracy

Identify & highlight technical risks in the project on the basis of tender documents, basic engineering package, conduct site visits (if required).

Drive the engineering for all projects across the organization, through the engineering lead designated for each project.

Identify & implement value engineering initiatives during the detailed engineering stage.

Ensure timely execution of engineering activities as per project timelines.

Co-ordinate with and efficiently manage client expectations for each project.

Co-ordinate with external stakeholders, especially engineering specialists & agencies if any, for timely completion of deliverables & tasks as planned.

Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent understanding throughout the project team of the technical requirements for scope of work.

Responsible for all engineering documentation required throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Bachelors degree preferred in a relevant field from an accredited university

Project management certification preferred

About 20 years of experience in a leadership position managing more than one project

Experienced in managing, designing, implementing and evaluating multiple projects

Technical proficiency with project management software

Demonstrated interpersonal, management and communication skills

Strong oral and written English Language skills

Strong people and management skills.

Analytical mind with problem solving attitude.
