Deputy General Manager-Logistics

Location: Aurangabad, Maharashtra

We are seeking an experienced logistics professional to lead domestic and export logistics operations for a large manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end domestic and international logistics operations.
• Handle transportation through road, rail, sea, and containerized movements.
• Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and CHA partners.
• Ensure smooth customs clearance, export documentation, and port operations.
• Drive freight cost optimization, vendor management, and service level improvements.
• Manage CFS operations, container planning, shipment scheduling, and delivery performance.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, e-way bill requirements, and statutory norms.
• Lead logistics planning through SAP and drive process improvements using MIS and analytics.
• Monitor logistics KPIs including freight cost, turnaround time, on-time delivery, and detention/demurrage.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 1418 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, and Export Operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong exposure to customs, CHA coordination, freight forwarding, and port operations.
• Experience in manufacturing or export-oriented industries preferred.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/SD/LE modules).
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization skills.
• MBA / PG in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
