Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated GUI & Graphics Development Engineer to design and develop intuitive user interfaces and advanced 3D visualizations for our Satellite Attitude & Orbit Control Systems (AOCS) Simulator.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of aerospace engineering, real-time simulation, and high-performance graphics, enabling engineers to configure, simulate, and visualize complex satellite missions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

GUI Development (UX/UI Engineering)

• Design and develop interactive, user-friendly GUI applications for simulation workflows
• Build tools to configure spacecraft parameters, simulation settings, sensors, actuators, and control algorithms
• Implement real-time input validation, error handling, and guided workflows
• Collaborate with AOCS engineers to translate technical requirements into intuitive UI designs
• Ensure modular, scalable, and maintainable code architecture
• Continuously enhance usability, performance, and user experience based on feedback
• Perform testing and validation across multiple use-case scenarios

Graphics Development (3D Visualization & Simulation)

• Develop high-performance 3D visualizations of satellite orbits, maneuvers, and attitude dynamics
• Implement real-time rendering of orbital mechanics and Earth-relative motion
• Visualize sensor fields of view, ground tracks, eclipse conditions, and mission scenarios
• Integrate ephemeris data and physics-based simulation models for accurate rendering
• Build reusable, modular graphics components for spacecraft and space environments
• Collaborate with aerospace teams to ensure physics-accurate and realistic visual simulations

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 0.5 1 year experience in GUI/graphics/visualization development (strong academic or project experience considered)

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Linux systems (Debian-based preferred)
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Web-based UI development)
• Programming experience in Python and C++
• Hands-on experience with graphics APIs/engines such as OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenSceneGraph, or similar
• Understanding of real-time rendering, 3D graphics pipelines, and simulation systems

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams
• Self-driven, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to aerospace systems, orbital mechanics, or simulation tools
• Experience with 3D engines, visualization frameworks, or game engines
• Familiarity with scientific computing or physics-based modeling
