Role Summary

As a Modernization Engineer, you will design and implement scalable, cost-effective hosting solutions using modern cloud technologies. You will play a key role in transforming legacy infrastructure and enabling cloud-native adoption across enterprise environments, leveraging both private and public cloud ecosystems with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for GCP architecture and modernization
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance cloud hosting solutions
• Lead legacy infrastructure transformation and cloud migration initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions
• Analyze current infrastructure and identify modernization opportunities
• Ensure security, scalability, and cost optimization of cloud environments
• Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing
• Contribute to strategic technical decisions across multiple teams

Must-Have Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architecture
• Strong expertise in cloud service models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
• Hands-on experience in cloud migration and modernization projects
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization
• Proven ability to design and deploy cloud-native applications
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
• Bachelors degree (15 years full-time education required)

Nice to Have

• Experience in Cloud Migration Planning
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager)
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
• Certifications in GCP (Associate/Professional level)
