GEO Specialist

As a GEO Specialist, you will optimise brand visibility across AI-driven search platforms and generative engines. This role focuses on enhancing how content is discovered, interpreted, and surfaced by tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Perplexity AI. The ideal candidate blends traditional SEO expertise with a deep understanding of AI search behaviour, structured content, and semantic optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute GEO strategies to improve visibility in AI-generated responses.
• Building strategies that combine human creativity with AI intelligence
• Optimize website and content for generative search engines and answer engines.
• Conduct keyword and intent research tailored to conversational and AI-based queries.
• Structure content for AI readability (FAQs, schema markup, semantic relevance).
• Monitor performance across AI platforms and track brand mentions in generated outputs.
• Collaborate with content, SEO, and product teams to align optimization strategies
• Driving performance across search ecosystems beyond traditional SERP.
• Stay updated with evolving trends in AI search, LLMs, and search algorithms
• Perform competitive analysis to identify opportunities in generative search visibility

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in marketing, Communications, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, or digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of search engine optimisation (technical + on-page SEO)
• Familiarity with AI tools and generative search platforms
• Experience with GEO and SEO tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, Claude, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console)
• Candidates based in or willing to relocate to Bangalore will be preferred.
• Knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and content optimisation techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Automation tools and API integrations.
